FemmeForge Collective Code of Conduct
🛡FemmeForge Collective is committed to creating safe, welcoming, and inclusive spaces for femme-identifying Magic: The Gathering players and respectful allies. Our community exists to reduce barriers, not create them.
Participation in any FemmeForge Collective space — in person or online — means agreeing to uphold the following standards.
💜 Our Core Expectations
1. Femme-Centered Respect
Women, trans women, and nonbinary fem-aligned players are centered in FemmeForge spaces. Allies are welcome when they respect this focus and do not dominate, dismiss, or redirect the space.
2. Consent-Based Interaction
Consent is required for:
-
touching cards, decks, playmats, bags, or personal items
-
offering gameplay advice
-
physical contact
-
photos or video
-
joining a pod or conversation
If someone declines, the answer is respected without question or pressure.
3. Neurodivergent-Affirming Environment
FemmeForge Collective supports unmasked neurodivergent expression.
This includes welcoming:
-
fidgets, movement, pacing, or stimming
-
quiet participation or non-participation
-
stepping away without explanation
-
headphones or sensory supports
-
direct or minimal communication styles
No one is required to perform social norms to belong.
4. Clear, Kind Communication
We value communication that is:
-
respectful
-
calm
-
direct
-
free of sarcasm, condescension, or intimidation
Correct mistakes gently. Assume good intent while honoring impact.
5. No Deck Shaming or Gatekeeping
There is no “right” way to play Magic here.
The following are not allowed:
-
shaming deck strength or card choices
-
power-level policing
-
rules-lawyering in casual play
-
dismissing newer or returning players
-
elitism or competitive posturing
Learning, enjoyment, and comfort come first.
6. Safety Above All
Harassment or discrimination of any kind is not tolerated, including (but not limited to):
-
misogyny
-
transphobia
-
homophobia
-
racism
-
ableism
-
intimidation or bullying
-
unwanted sexual attention
-
repeated boundary violations
This applies to speech, behavior, gestures, and online interaction.
🚫 Zero-Tolerance Behavior
Anyone engaging in the following may be asked to leave immediately:
-
harassment after being asked to stop
-
refusal to respect consent or boundaries
-
targeting or intimidating behavior
-
discriminatory language or conduct
-
disrupting the safety of the space
🧭 Reporting & Enforcement
If an issue arises:
-
Speak to a Forge Host or organizer if you feel safe doing so
-
You are not required to confront someone directly
-
Reports will be taken seriously and handled discreetly
Organizers may:
-
intervene
-
separate parties
-
remove individuals from the space
-
restrict future participation
Protecting the community always takes priority over individual discomfort with accountability.
🤝 Repair & Accountability
We believe people can learn and grow. When appropriate, and agreed to by the victim, FemmeForge Collective may prioritize education and repair over permanent exclusion.
However, repeated harm or refusal to respect boundaries will result in removal.
🌈 A Shared Responsibility
Every person in a FemmeForge Collective space helps create its culture.
If you see someone struggling or being excluded, offer quiet support.
If you’re unsure, ask.
If something feels off, trust that instinct and reach out to a host.
💜 In Closing
FemmeForge Collective exists so people can play, create, and connect without fear.
If you are here to support that mission, you belong.
If you are here to challenge it, this is not your space.
